Cucumber salad (mizeria)

This very popular side dish is quick to make and goes well with any kind of meat.


  • 2 cucumbers
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • pepper for flavor
  • 203 pinches sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2/3 cups sour cream

Peel 2 nice-sized cucumbers and slice into thin rounds. Sprinkle with salt and let stand 30 min.

Pour off liquid. Sprinkle with freshly ground pepper, 2- 3 pinches sugar and 1 T lemon juice or vinegar.

Lace with 1/2 - 2/3 c fork-blended sour cream (or plain yogurt for weight-watchers).

Serving Suggestions

Garnish with chopped dill.
